Avalanche Conditions Report

We've had a heap of snow so far this week and it's tempting to rush out and get knee deep into it but be sure you know what's going on with the snowpack as things have changed radically.
 
Whitewater's Avalanche Forecaster, Wren McElroy explains more on what is going on out there:
With 66 cms of storm snow over the last 3 days has loaded on top of all that coldsmoke we have been skiing and riding.  We are in a transition period now from being at low hazard for quite some time to a considerable hazard.  So far we are not seeing significant test results, but that makes this snowpack kind of spooky as it has some weaknesses in it.
