Avalanche Conditions Report - VIDEO
Since the last update, we've had 161cm of low-density snowfall creating a soft storm slab and dry loose avalanche problem in the area. With all this snow we have an incredibly deep snowpack for this time of year, matching the record year of 1998/99 season thus far. With such a deep snowpack come new hazards, such as tree wells, and we encourage people to continue to use safe travel habits around the resort and to always ski with a buddy.
Avalanche Canada is calling the hazard Considerable, and with more snow in the forecast tonight, tomorrow, Sunday and Wednesday expect the hazard to remain elevated as a touchy storm slab develops.
