Avalanche Conditions Report Video
This final Avalanche Conditions Report of the Season talks about how a recent warming event caused a widespread loose wet avalanche cycle. This is due to the Spring warming cycles which creates an isothermal snowpack, this means the snowpack is the same temperature throughout which leads to large avalanches. As you can see in the video there were several in the Whitewater backcountry this week and also up at Kootenay Pass where they saw wet slab avalanches with explosives up to size 3.Let us know what you think of our avalanche videos in the comments below, and as always play safe out there and we'll see you next season!
