Travelling in Avalanche terrain this spring? Read these handy tips.

With spring storms, the properties of the slab change quickly. Snow often falls on the crust and we are seeing more slab avalanches triggered in these conditions. If you're pushing up into higher elevation terrain, get a sense of the conditions. Ask yourself: "Do we have a spring or winter snowpack up high? What is my likelihood of triggering an avalanche? Or of taking a fall in committing terrain?"
