Probing 101 - Video
The three words every backcountry skier should know are Transceiver, Probe and Shovel. This is because these are the safety items you must have with you before you head into the backcountry skiing. And, you must know how to use them effectively! In this short video, we'll run through the basics of how to use an avalanche probe in a companion rescue situation. Be sure to practice at the start of the season before you venture out ski touring and for more information take an avalanche course from a guide.
