The info graphic below from a recent Globe and mail article shows some startling contrasts between snowmobile and backcountry skier avalanche fatalities over the past 7 years – it reads like the backcountry skiing crowd is getting the message the CAA has been preaching but not so for the snowmobiling community – hopefully this trend changes for them.
