Video: July Freshies
I used to make a point every summer to find a patch of snow somewhere in the mountains to make a few turns on the skis. Table Mountain at the Mt. Baker ski area was always a reliable source for turns, usually until July at the least. Mt. Seymour on the North Shore was also a good spot on north facing aspects but over the years it became a zoo as more and more people took up hiking and in lean snow years those pockets were nonexistent. Rather than hunt down a 100m long patch of snow for a handful of turns on suncupped snow, I’m happy to put the skis away in the basement every spring and focus on mountain biking until the following autumn.Check out this video below of bcskijunkie scoring some fresh snow in July.
