Video: July Freshies

I used to make a point every summer to find a patch of snow somewhere in the mountains to make a few turns on the skis. Table Mountain at the Mt. Baker ski area was always a reliable source for turns, usually until July at the least. Mt. Seymour on the North Shore was also a good spot on north facing aspects but over the years it became a zoo as more and more people took up hiking and in lean snow years those pockets were nonexistent. Rather than hunt down a 100m long patch of snow for a handful of turns on suncupped snow, I’m happy to put the skis away in the basement every spring and focus on mountain biking until the following autumn.
