Common Snowpack Tests

Lately we've been posting a lot of stoke in anticipation of winter which is just around the corner. For the many people skinning up Whitewater this past weekend winter is already here! Right now though is a good time to start thinking about avalanche safety.

Applied Snow and Avalance Research has a number of videos on the web dealing with avalanche education. The Common Snowpack Tests video is a good one to watch as a refresher for the various types of tests that can be conducted to assess snowpack stability.
