Travel tourism, COVID-19 and the small ski town
Spring break is just about here for some of us. Although inter-community travel is still discouraged, it’s not against the law — and BC is already seeing an influx of out-of-province visitors as they arrive to the mountains on ski holidays. Many people have been seen stepping off of planes in YVR over the weekend, and even as Whistler mayor Jack Crompton has asked public to “please stay local,” there is not much that these host small towns can do about those who don’t want to listen.
