Oboz Campster Sandals

Oboz has always been one of our favourite shoe brands here at Backcountry Skiing Canada, in the past we’ve reviewed several of their shoes including the Oboz Sundog Shoes, Oboz Traverse Low BDry Shoes and the award winning Oboz Beartooth Boots and Firebrand II Hiking Shoes.

New for next spring, Oboz will enter the sandal market with the release of their Campster Sandals. I got a sneak peek of the Campsters at Outdoor Presscamp and prepared the following video overview for your viewing pleasure:

The Campster uses a woven webbing upper which provides support like a shoe while still being light weight and providing ventilation like a sandal. It has a back strap which pivots so you can wear the Campster with it in the upright position for quick slip on and off functionality or wear it down for a better fit. The Campster has a comfortable midsole and aggressive traction and it’s amphibious design means it’s very versatile for summer hiking and camping. There’s a  built in toe cap to protect your toes from rocks and other hard obstacles and it’s available for men and women next spring.
