Sneak peek at next year's gear: La Sportiva Spectre 2.0 Ski Boots - VIDEO REVIEW
La Sportiva is updating their award winning Spectre and Sparkle AT boots for the 2016/17 ski season and we got a first hand look at them at the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City this past January. We reviewed the original La Sportiva Spectre Ski Boots two years ago and awarded them our Gear of the Year Award because they were just that good. The La Sportiva and Spectre Boots are the lightest four-buckle ski boots on the market, and will hence forth be no known as the Spectre 2.0 and Sparkle 2.0 AT Boots.
Watch the following video overview to learn all about the new La Sportiva Spectre 2.0 Ski Boots:
“The Spectre and Sparkle ski boots have exceeded our sales expectations,” says Jonathan Lantz, president of La Sportiva North America. Citing recent snow sports data, he says, “Our retailers report excellent sell-through and our online dealers have done really well with these models. The 2.0 models will build on that success for seasons to come.”
The updated Spectre 2.0 and Sparkle 2.0 went through months of testing by the top labs in Italy to identify deformation points, which resulted in a five percent stiffer boot, while still retaining a large range of cuff rotation. Both models are also now compatible with all tech, step-in and SkiTrab TR2 bindings, while the instep has been reworked to provide additional volume and out-of-the-box comfort. Both boots will retail for $679.
It's one fine looking boot, stay tuned for a full review next season.
The Woman's Sparkle is just as appealing looking.
