From avalanche control to rescue calls, it's the Big Sky Ski Patrol's responsibility to make sure everyone is safe on the mountain, every single day. And it is a mighty BIG mountain with over 5,850 skiable acres, 4,350 vertical feet, 300 runs, 39 lifts, and over 400 inches of annual snowfall on average. For ski patroller, Rachael Efta it’s all in a day's work. She joined a team of 40 people who open the mountain every day and she couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
