Looking to Relocate

Hello,

My wife(CAN) and I are looking to relocate to B.C. six months out of the year. I grew up in N.H. and have lived in Colo and UT we are looking for an area that would suit both our needs. I love to BC ski and she is a resort skier 20 days a year. Revelstoke was my first choice,but we have been priced out. As an airline pilot I would need to be 3 to 4 hr's drive to a major airport. Researching the net we have been looking at Nelson and the Rossland areas for the skiing and drive time to Spokeann. When we moved to Colo we moved for the winters,but stayed for the summers I have a feeling that will be the same with B.C. My wife is a trained Chef and might be looking for part time employment. We are avid free dive spearfisherman when in the Bahamas,but really miss living in the mountains.Are desire is to purchase some land and build a Green Post and Beam house  Anyone with advice or willing to exchange email or phone numbers would be great. Local knowledge is where it's at and at 53 yr's old I won't be stealing anyones lines.!!!
