Sneak Peek: Next Season's New DPS Pagoda Skis - Video
For the 2020/2021 skis season, DPS will be releasing a brand new touring ski called the Pagoda. This ski will use a new construction that focuses on minimizing weight while providing optimal power and energy all the while still being fairly damp.
The Pagoda is designed as a touring ski while being able to ski more challenging terrain like a front-side resort ski.
DPS uses a combination of proprietary carbon laminate, ash and paulownia woods, along with a purpose-built aerospace grade foam. This construction keeps the skis light yet ensures that they won’t get tossed around in variable conditions as other carbon layups can. This new construction is called ‘Pagoda Tour’ which replaces DPS’s tried and true Tour1 construction and should make for a super versatile ski in any condition.
The new Pagoda Tour comes in five versions, the 112 RR, 100 RR, 106 C2, 94 C2, and 87 C2. As an example of how light they are, the 112 RP Skis weighs in at just 1,560g for the 184 cm length. Oh yeah, and DPS now has a new Salt Lake City factory where they’d be happy to make you a pair.
