Five Ten Guide Tennie
Five Ten is known for its rock climbing and mountain biking shoes which use their trademarked Stealth rubber since it provides a superior grip over other shoes. This rubber and the shoes themselves are so good that I challenge you to find a hard core mountain biker who doesn’t wear Five Ten shoes. It’s pretty much impossible as they own the category and for good reason, Five Ten shoes get the job done and look good doing it.
New for this summer, Five Ten will re-launch the much revered Guide Tennie. A shoe that’s been in the Five Ten line up for some time now. It’s a true approach shoe which is now more climbing friendly thanks to its S1 rubber Stealth outsole and an integrated hand bevelled climbing zone at the toe. It will also be slightly less stiff than the previous version and have a better fit overall. The full leather upper has lacing right to the toe which improves fit and foot hold. The Guide Tennie is also now more budget friendly with a price of just $120US.
What excites me about this shoe, besides it’s improvements and good looks is the ability to have one shoe for mountain bike riding, light climbing and approaches. We’re going to get ourselves a pair to test out so be sure to check back soon to find out what we thought.
