Sneak Peek: Next Season’s New Atomic Backland Carbon Boots - VIDEO
Two years ago Atomic made a bold entry into the alpine touring (AT) boot market with the unveiling of their Backland Boots, the carbon version being the flagship model as it was the lightest in the line. Fast forward two years and Atomic has just announced the release of an all new line up of Backland AT Boots for next season. This next generation of the Backland Boots sees the addition of the BOA Fit System which wraps the foot more effectively than the previous buckle did. The Backland boots will also use what Atomic calls ‘Prolite Construction’ which utilizes Carbon loaded Polyamide (PA) and Carbon Fibre to keep things light and reinforcements in key zones which require a little extra beef. The taller more supportive cuff found on the new Carbon Backland Boots also provides a better fit and increased leverage when carving a turn. The list of new features goes on and on and we’ll be putting them all to the test when our Backland Carbon Boots arrive for review very shortly, so stay tuned for more.
