Backcountry skiing tip #49: Safety Gear you should have in your pack - VIDEO

This time of year as the snow begins to fall, is a good time to think not just about your ski gear, but also what kind of safety gear you should carry in your touring pack. Pull it out of the closet now and ensure you have everything, that it works and that nothing is broken or needs batteries. Have it ready for your fist ski tour and more importantly know how to use everything. Perhaps it's time for a first aid refresher? Maybe you need to go over your first aid manual? Now is the time, prior to when the pow is piling up.
