Sneak Peek: Scott Patrol E1 Avalanche Airbags

Scott’s Patrol line of avalanche airbag packs uses the Alpride E1 fan based inflation system that uses a super capacitor battery system which is a passive power supply. This makes it flight compatible in North America and abroad and since it’s a fan based system you can also deploy it multiple times in practice scenarios.
 

The Scott Patrol E1 Avalanche Airbag charges via USB in 20 minutes and inflates in just 3 seconds. To keep the super capacitors charged-up AA batteries are used. The Alpride E1 system is fully transferable from one or Scott’s packs to another and only takes up 4L of interior space. Scott will offer the E1 Avalanche Airbag in a 22L, 30L and 40L size. It will have numerous features built in such as a helmet carry as well as A-frame and Diagonal ski carry.
