Next Season's Gear Sneak Peek: G3 Black Sheep and Scapegoat Splitboards-VIDEO
After a massive launch of several new products for sale this 2014/2015 season, the good people at Genuine Guide Gear (G3) have throttled back a bit for 2015/16. Lucky for splitboarders, G3 is continuing with its three-year-old splitboard program, and will be offerering the Scapegoat board. The Scapegoat is a lighter-weight, longer board for big powder days.
It features G3's Powder Rocker Profile with a rockered nose, camber under foot and 40 mm of taper in the tail. The idea is that the tail sinks to lift the nose out for an easy plane in the deep stuff. This feature, coupled with the light dragweight on the up, justify the Scapegoat's lightweight/big pow designation.
Other features:
- Triaxal and Biaxal stitched carbon fiber
- Poplar paulownia wood core
- ABS/TPU sidewalls
- 5 lbs, 13 oz weight
- 158/162/166 weight
