The Black Diamond JetForce Airbag is an electronic Airbag for backcountry skiers and offers up plenty of features such as a diagonal ski carry, goggle pocket and a built in helmet carrier. There is also a back pannel entry for ease of use. The airbag is powered by an 8 cell lithium Ion battery which works well in the cold. The battery and CPU are contained in the bottom of the pack to keep weight low and against the users back.
The Black Diamond JetForce Airbag has a 3 minute cycle, the initial inflation takes 3.5 seconds and continues to pulse air into the bag in case of a bag tear, after 3 minutes the bag deflates to provide the user an air pocket in the snow to breath from.
The 200 litre bag (the larges on the market) inflates quickly and surrounds your head for protection with out limiting visibility.
The 28 litre bag has a full 28 litres of usable space.
