First descent of the East Face of Mt Nelson in the Purcells
Earlier this month Christina Lusti and Ian MacIntosh made the first descent of the East face of Mt Nelson. This behemoth face exists in the Purcells, standing 3,313m high and visible from Panorama Ski Resort. No doubt many lift-bound skiers have imagined skiing the face, but at 50-55 degrees for 750m this slope is not one for the average lift goer.
