Getting after it 12 months out of the year
It's getting closer. To what you might ask? To winter of course! Our summer skies here in BC have turned grey with smoke and temperatures have been noticeably lower. We are most of the way through August which means autumn is just around the corner, bringing with it the first snow falls. Shred flick teasers are starting to squeak through the cracks, and those who live for snow are getting restless.
But why wait for winter to strap on the skis and snowboards? I'm not talking about booking a flight down south either. I'm talking about booking a ticket for the heel toe express, the suffer fueled train to the alpine. Go ahead, strap those skis to your backpack and go find some sun cups. There is always snow to be found in the high mountains, and you better believe there are folks that are getting after it all year round.
Before you go, check out this quick and dirty checklist from a few who have been at it for 23 months straight. They've compiled a little advice for how to be set up for success when snowboarding in summer.
