The Last Hill, taking people powered to the next level
Sacking summits via the heel-toe express is by no means a new trend, but so often our approach requires the welcome purr of an engine as we place ourselves at the bottom of the mountain. Ditching the easy approach not only increases the length of the journey, but adds a whole other level of complexity that can really change the tone of the adventure. This spring a group of foot-powered enthusiasts decided to seek out some type-two fun and pedal around 500km from Reno to Mount Whitney, which they would then climb and, of course, descend.
Much to our benefit, the slog has been documented and not only can you read about it in more detail, but a short film has been made. Check it out!
