My truth about backcountry skiing;
-Got a dedicated tuning bench with tools worth more than what's in my kitchen.
-When people ask me what I do in the winter, shortly after talking about skins, touring bindings, hike up to ski down and seeing that they have no clue, I simplify it to ''I ski everyday and like it''.
-About 2-3 times a winter I might say: ''This was the best powder I ever skied''.
-For winter, I have 1 pair of scarpas and 1 pair of sorels. I use the scarpas more than the sorels. And I have only one jacket, but it usually doesn't stink because it only sees deep pow and high altitude winds.
-Backpack is just an accessory, gets changed every few years. Simpler is better.
-I named my company after getting up high (a seasonal company that is).
-No money for expensive drinks here, that money's for gear.
-Don't tell me about work between December-April. I'm busy skiing:)
-Kayaking is like skiing, so is biking, isn't it?
-I haven't been in my ski gear since April, but once I do, it's game on!
