I've just arrived in Nelson for the winter.
I'm available from 25 dec-end of march, and can ski most days.
Although just arrived this year i have spent the last 2 seasons touring in the nelson area and other areas of BC and back home in Scotland before that, so i have a fair bit of experience.
Avi trained and keen to tour mellow or longer tours.
Keen to tour more widely all over the area this year but still up for the cruisee Whitewater back country tours as i have a pass so can cheat on the first skin up of the day.

Hi - you can check my post or text to 807-631-9469. I am having some difficulty finding touring partners. Took an avi couse last weekend and taking AST1 next weekend but am ready to tour now with compatible partner. I am quite fit and a strong skier.
Hi Georgia
I tour most days so happy for you to join one day.
Given you are on snow shoes would probably need to be quite a short tour nr ww (as you say).
If you can i would highly recommend getting the split board set up if you plan to tour alot as snow shoes are very hard work especially if going with skiiers. Actually the best set up i've seen for boarding with ski tourers is hard (ski touring) boot with dynafit ski binding that swaps to snow boarding mode really quickly so you 'transition' from touring to down hill is as quick as skiers and it also has the added bonus that you can use the same track as ski tourers with out damaging it for other users, as soft boot split boarders tend to cut the edge of the track leaving for example traverses really unpleasant. For snow shoe touring, it is important to make your own track, not many snow shoers seem to know this, but they essentially damage the track others have put effort into creating.
One last question, have you taken an avalanche course?
