Mar 20 Ymir Peak Bench
Spent the morning looking for any remaining stashes of good snow in the Whitewater backcountry and figured 'up high' would be the place to start so we toured up to Ymir Peak and decided to ski the Ymir Peak Bench and found some good turns given the conditions over the past week. Stability was good and the snow was firm but definitely not sun backed or wind blown. Worth the climb to have lunch on top of the peak in the sun shine - and a nice bonus that the snow didn't suck on the way down.
