Norrona Lyngen Alpha100 Zip Hood

The Norrona Lyngen alpha100 Zip hood is their most breathable insulation jacket that is ideal for backcountry ski touring. It has a balance of low weight, breathability and wind protection that is suited for mid to high-intensity winter activities. 

The outer shell is made with aero100 fabric which is a durable ripstop quality that also has a durable water-resistant layer. While on the inside it has a soft mesh like insulating material that is made from recycled Polartec Alpha insulation that is known for its breathable insulation that provides a consistent warmth while releasing excess body heat and moisture. Norrona uses a heavier Polartec Alpha insulation in the shoulder area that is resistant to compression from backpack straps. The jacket is also very backable.

Additional features are good size zipper hand pockets and chest pockets. The hood has a stiffer brim and is compatible with smaller helmets. We also found the hood is light enough that larger helmets easily fit comfortably over the hood. The waist has an elastic hem and the arms are slightly narrower for a nice fit.
