Stellar Guide Aerogel Hybrid Hood 2.0

Stellar’s Guide Aerogel Hybrid Hood 2.0 is the latest incarnation of their popular mid-layer. This new version uses Primaloft Cross Core which is an insulation made with Aerogel. Aerogel is composed of more than 95% air and therefore incredibly light and boasts the highest insulation-to-weight properties known to man. On top of this on the arms, chest, shoulders and hood Stellar placed a new ultralight, stretchable and breathable Japanese shell fabric. This was then combined with a comfortable and fast-wicking merino-wool blended fleece fabric everywhere else. By body mapping these fabrics, the Guide Aerogel Hybrid Hood 2.0 provides warmth and wind protection over your core and allows for more dissipation of heat on your back where you are often wearing a pack. An adjustable hood helps keep the wind and weather out while two large chest pockets provide ample space for snacks, sunglasses, your phone or even a VHF radio.
