Ortovox Switchback 32 Ski Touring Pack
The new Ortovox Switchback 32 Ski Touring Backpack is for those that hate digging through there pack to find stuff. Ortovox has gone out of their way to tell you were to place your stuff.
They started with the stuff you need to get to through out the day. A side compartment that you can reach with the pack on to get to crampons or climbing skins. The rope can easily be accessed also without removing the pack. And all your backcountry emergency equipment is stored in a dedicated safety compartment. There is a shoulder and a hip pocket storage pockets.
On the outside of the pack there are two ice axe holders, a daisy chain, a rope attachment and a helmet net which stows away in it’s own compartment. You can pretty much lash your skis to the pack any way you want.
Ortovox promotes this as their most technical pack for ski touring and ski mountaineering, but due to its light size how think it can be compressed, it also will make a great side-country pack.
Watch for the full resort and backcountry review this winter.
