        Lower Mainland Route Suggestion

        Hi Guys. Lots of great information and trip reports on this website,. Thanks to everyone.

        My brother and I are getting into backcountry skiing, we have our Avi course booked for Dec 16th. We would like to get out and test our gear before the course and were wondering if anyone could suggest an area around Vancouver that would be good for a little bit of training.

        We are in our late 20's and are at an intermediate riding level. Would be nice to skin in and have a mellow run down.

        Welcome to the best sport in the world! Good to hear you are getting trained and practicing - that is key. While I am not on the coast I do see this route that should be close to you, never skied it so maybe ask around for other opionions?
