        Vancouver Island Backcountry Festival

        For those of you on the island or near the island, we're having a backcountry festival on the island up at Mount Cain this weekend (Feb 5/6). The agenda is pretty simple, get everyone up there to build the community, meet new people,  have some fun, and we have a raffle with over $4,500 worth of gear to give away - raising funds to help the Mt. Cain volunteer ski patrol properly setup backcountry signs, gates, and snow fences.

        Hey Jarrett, thanks for the heads up on this one - we will get it our to our Facebook followers as well. Too bad we didn't have a little more notice we would have liked to support you guys out there with some prizes - can you say swanky Backcountry Skiing Canada T's.

        Ah well, next year.

        Be sure to give a 'shout out' to all the attendees about our great site here if you can, we need more involvement from any BC folk on the island.


        Let us know how the event goes, post some pics - maybe we will come for a visit next year.
