50/50 Boots
I am looking at 50/50 touring/in-area boots. I have narrowed my list and am wondering is anyone has experience with any of them. Some of them are new models, so I don't expect there to be a lot. Also hoping this site will be reviewing some of them.I have been on Scott Cosmos II and I need a fairly wide last, which thankfully seems to be becoming more of a norm now. My list:
Dynafit Radical Pro (new model)
Dynafit Hoji Free 130
La Sportiva Vega (saw the review here)
Fischer Transalp (the new version)
Scott Cosmos (new version)
The Cosmos have been just fine but required shims to take volume, but a punchout for a "6th toe". My ideal would be getting similar or slightly better fit and performance for somewhat lower weight vs higher performance for more weight. I ski some fairly steep terrain, but am more of a control skier than what I would call a hard charger. Based in the PNW. I'm also over 50.
Thanks!
