La Sportiva’s latest alpine touring boots will be released for the 2023/24 ski season and weigh an impressive 1,000 grams per boot in a size 26.5. These new La Sportiva Boots will aptly be called the Kilo Boots and will have an impressive 110 progressive flex rating, allowing them to perform above their weight class easily. The range of motion in the ankle is a standout at 70° which allows them to walk like a race boot. The Tilt-Lock Lite ski/walk system uses a simple minimal design that is easy to use and reliable. There are two forward lean positions with only two buckles and a power strap that provide the perfect foothold for even the most demanding skiers.The shell and cuff are made with Grilimid Bio-Based LF Carbon, an innovative composite material that provides excellent rigidity while minimizing weight and is used exclusively by La Sportiva.
This lightweight ski touring boot is made for backcountry skiing and entry-level skimo racing since it delivers a ton of power and is still impressively light.
