Ryders Eyewear Fyre lenses
Ryders Eyewear is a Canadian company who is known for their bike and adventure-specific eyewear. The company focuses on eyewear that meets the specific needs of people who enjoy sports with speed such as running, mountain biking, road cycling and mountain sports.
Ryders partnered with Essilor—the world’s leading lens manufacturer to create their new Fyre lenses, which are a NXT lens with advanced impact protection; incredible optics with a vibrant colour boost; the fastest and highest-range photochromic capabilities on the market; and a military-grade antiFOG.
The biggest innovation for me as a backcountry skier has to be the AntiFOG capabilities of the new Fyre lenses since cold winter air and warm body heat don't mix well when they condense on your eyewear. Having seen how well the Fyre lenses work in the heat of summer I’m interested to test them this winter in the field where fogging is a real problem. The photochromic capabilities are also of interest since the lighting conditions vary greatly from the glare of sun on snow to the low light conditions of thick forest. A lens that can adjust quickly for all light conditions with a wide range from light to dark would be extremely useful when ski touring.
While at Outdoor PressCamp last month I got a closer look at a few of Ryders new glasses, have a look at the following video overview and some of the individual specs below:
Each of the styles listed below come with Ryders new Fyre lenses which provide the following benefits:

antiFOG – Military-grade fog-resistance.

MLV Mirror – Allows VARIA to perform at its full potential.
