Scarpa F1 XT Boots

Scarpa’s F1 Boots set the standard for lightweight touring boots for us recreational backcountry skiers which is why they became a best seller in this category. Over the years Scarpa has tweaked the design to improve their weight, performance and comfort and then released the F1 LT Boots which we reviewed with glowing praise. Last season Scarpa released the F1 GT (reviewed here) which saw the replacement of the BOA system with their new Wave Lite Closure System, improving the fit but weight and flex paid the price. This season Scarpa brought us the new F1 XT Boots that were previously released in Europe but not here in North America.
