Sneak peek at next year’s gear: Suunto Spartan Ultra GPS Watch

While we’ve already posted a full review of the new Suunto Spartan Ultra GPS Watch, we wanted to get some additional info from Suunto directly to address concerns viewers may have about the Spartan’s software and update schedule. The Spartan was released in the summer of 2016 and continues to see huge improvements in its software capabilities. For spring 2017 Suunto will release the heart rate (HR) version of the Spartan. It will no longer require a separate heart rate monitor belt, but will now be built into the back of the watch itself.
