The Summit FUTURELIGHT Jacket is The North Face's most breathable, waterproof and windproof jacket. It's light, soft and yet durable thanks to the proprietary FUTURELIGHT fabric. This 3 layer fabric is comprised of a durable outer fabric with an ultra-thin waterproof membrane sandwiched between this outer layer and a softer inner liner. To create the FUTURELIGHT fabric North Face uses a Nano spinning process to create a web of polyester fibres that has microscopic spaces between the fibres that lets air pass through but water is not able to get in.
