Backcountry Access Tracker2 - REVIEW
The Tracker2 is a three-antena transceiver from our friends at Backcountry Access (BCA) who are the manufacturers of the wildly successful and somewhat ground breaking Tracker DTS which was the pioneer in multi antenna transceivers. Backcountry Access is responsible for taking the guess work out of transceiver use, lets face it a number of years ago this was a difficult process with out much directional information and a subjective signal strength interpretation. This evolution in transceiver technology enables Backcountry Access to fast become the best-selling beacon seller in North America.
The intent of this review is not to get all technical on you as those things can put you to sleep - instead we want to focus on what the Tracker2 is good at and what features it has so you can decide if it is the beacon for you - as personal preference is key when selecting one of the many transceivers out there on the market today.
Back to the Tracker2,...what sets it apart from the more technical and option rich competitors is that the tracker2 is so simple to use and this is incredibly important when the shit hits the fan - it needs to be fundamentally simply to function while your head is filled with stress, fear, confusion and adrenaline.
