DPS Wailer 112, Tour 1 Construction. -- Video Review
We've been skiing on the DPS Wailer 112 Tour 1 skis pretty much all season. As well as being super light (at 1550g, 3.4 lbs per plank), the ski tends to get pushed around in harsh conditions less than other skis in its class. Perhaps because of the paddletech design and 5-point sidecut that won over so many skiers with the original wailer 112.
I have come to the point where I'll bring this ski (and only this ski) on a hut trip if I'm not sure of conditions. The fact that it's so great on the uptrack and in good snow, compensates for it perhaps not being the ski of choice on hardpack. But who wants to ski on hardpack? Full review to follow.
