Next Season's Gear Sneak Peek: G3 Boundary and Synapse Skis -- VIDEO
G3 released a whack of new products for the 2014/2015 season, and, for next year, they seem to have throttled back a bit. Some lightened models of their Ion binding, the new Blacksheep and Scapegoat splitboards (which we learned about here) and some new and refined models of their skis.
The Synapse from last year is now offered in a women’s model with a mellower flex, lighter weight (like, 2 lbs, 14 oz) and shorter lengths. These lengths are: 165, 170, 175cms, dimensions are: 130/101/118, tip-to-tail. The men’s Synapse is now available in three widths, 92, 101 and 109 mm’s underfoot.
An entirely new ski for G3 this year, the Boundary is positioned as the do-it-all ski for people who mostly charge in-bounds but like the occasional backcountry lap. The Boundary is beefier than the Synapse and would be more at home on moguls and other stuff a day of lift service might throw at you. Men’s and women’s are both the same dimensions at: 129/100/117. Women’s are a few oz’s less than the men’s model and are available in a 157 length.
Let’s let Adam from G3 tell us more:
The rack!
These are the Empires whcih will be back next season. Not the Synapse or the Boundary.
