Next Years Backcountry Skiing Gear at Outdoor Retailer Show
The Backcountry Skiing Canada Crew has been on an away game at the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City Utah. After two days of non-stop gadgets, gear and gizmos we have plenty to show-and-tell. Over the coming weeks we will be regularly posting photos and videos of the best new gear that we saw while at the show. You'll have to wait until next fall to get your hands on it but we'll give you the low-down on what to expect and our impressions from all of your favourite backcountry skiing brands.
Salomon continues to impress with a (lighter) Quest 110 AT boot.
Black Diamond has more than just the new JetForce Avalanche Airbag to show off, like mens puffy jackets, a new women's line and more.
Fischer has a new line up of backcountry specific ski as well as a new alpine touring boot (more on that later).
While in Utah we also took time out to ski at Powder Mountain and SnowBasin as well as complete the Ski Utah Interconnect Tour which had us ski between five resorts in a single day. It gave us a good insight into what the Wassach backcountry has to offer.
Stay tuned for more highlights from the Outdoor Retailer Show.
