Thanks Arcteryx and BackcountrySkiingCanada
Last winter I was fortunate enough to win an Arcteryx Quintic skipack during the soap box competition. Because this pack was in such high demand they were out of stock and could only send it to me in late spring/early summer. Upon request, Arcteryx sent me the Khamski pack instead because I prefer traditional top loading packs. I like a bit bigger ski pack that is suitable for a light overnighter too.
I just got the Khamski and had the chance to test it out on a 4 day solo mountain bike ride into the remote Willmore wilderness. Although the pack is designed for skiing, it was great while biking as well. Right away you can tell alot of R&D went into this pack because not only does it have all the accessories you would want for backcountry skiing, it is also tuff as nails, waterproof and fits well. Even with it overloaded for a 4 day trip, it remained comfortable by not swinging around or hiting me in the back of the head. Both important things for skiing and biking.
I know this will be my go-to back for skiing this winter. I'm starting to get stoked once again.
Thanks again to Arcteryx (a great Canadian Company) and Backcountry Skiing Canada
