The New Line Sick Day Skis--at the 2013 SIA Show -- Video
We swung by the Line booth at the 2013 SIA show in Denver to check out their Line of skis (intentional bad pun). We managed to coax founder Jason Levinthal out of the van parked in their spot--see photo below-- and he was kind enough to tell us about the Sick Day series of skis that we think would be happy in the backcountry. There are three models to choose from at 125, 110 and 95mm underfoot.
When considering a ski to buy, or anything really, the brains and personality behind the brand is always a factor for me. Jason is charismatic and he really stands behind all his products. Line, as a company, doesn't seem to take itself too seriously. It's really all about the fun of skiing. They are also VT based and we're big fans of the state.
We'd love to get the 110 Sick Days out for a tour someday. Stay tuned and hopefully one day we'll review them for you!
Here's the van we were talking about...
