ACMG & Arcteryx offer TRCI program to BIPOC & LGBTQ2S+ communities
The Association of Canadian Mountain Guides and its partner Arc’teryx are excited to announce a new program: The Diversity and Inclusion Tope Rope Climbing Instructor Training (TRCI) and Certification program. Offered through the Training and Assessment Program (TAP), this fully funded-no charge initiative aims to strengthen and vitalize the outdoor community, particularly giving opportunities to under-represented mountain enthusiasts.This program is aimed towards members of the BIPOC AND LGBTQ2S+ communities who are interested in careers in the outdoor climbing instruction field. It’s comprised of two modules, offered either in Squamish, BC or Banff, AB:
- A 4-day training course in Fall 2021
- A 5-day TRCI course in Spring 2022
