First All-Female Ascent of Mount Lucania
On April 26, 2021, Eva Capozzola and Pascale Morceau successfully summited Mount Lucania, making them the first all-women ascent team of Canada’s third highest peak. Located 29 km from the Alaskan border and 50 km north of Mt. Logan, Mt. Lucania stands at 5226m in the Yukon’s St. Elias Range.

Safely back in Haines Junction on May 6, they shared their experience on CBC’s Yukon Morning with Elyn Jones. Have a listen to the interview where they talk about nailing the weather window for the 14 hour summit push as well as the other challenges and victories of their expedition.
