Help support the Spearhead Huts
If you've not yet heard of the Spearhead Huts Project, it's time to get in the know. The project aims to bring an accessible hut-to-hut experience to the iconic Spearhead Traverse. The first of three huts is already completed and sits just above Russet Lake. The two remaining huts are to be built in locations that offer equal travel time between them and do not require glacier travel to access in the summer. As this is still very much a project in the making, further funding is required in order to make the next huts possible. For more information on the existing Kees and Clare hut, as well as the two planned huts, be sure to check out spearheadhuts.org.
Want to help support the project while also adding a valuable resource to your stash of maps?! John Baldwin has started a fundraising initiative for the Spearhead Huts Project and will be donating $1 from every copy of the Backcountry Whistler map to the project. These waterproof and tearproof maps feature routes for ski mountaineering, backcountry skiing, and hiking.
