Professional Climber Jordan Cannon's coming out story - PODCAST

In May, professional climber Jordan Cannon celebrated his birthday by publicly announcing that he is gay. Cannon shared his story with Outside Podcast; from growing up in a religious household, to struggles with his parents, to running away from home, and discovering climbing in his second year of university.
Once he fell in love with climbing, his life took a new path. His journey was never easy, but things began to change for him when he met legendary Yosemite climber Mark Hudon. Hudon became a mentor and father figure to Cannon as they worked together on an ambitious climb on El Cap. Beyond the project, however, their relationship evolved into something deeper as Hudon helped Cannon learn to find acceptance and love.
