La Grave

 La Grave is a community nestled into the Hautes-Alpes in France where big mountain skiing is accessed via a closed, two stage, pulsed gondola system. The area is patrolled, but does not undergo formal avalanche control resulting in a more backcountry feel than that of a resort. As they say on their website "One marked piste on the glacier, otherwise each run is to imagine...". 

 Sounds pretty rad right?! Well, check out just how rad it can get. I found two short videos that set the vibe for La Grave.
