Local skis from local trees
Whether it's locally roasted coffee, locally brewed beer, veggies from the hobby farm down the road, or artisanal pottery made by a local artist, it's easy to feel good about buying local. While much of the 'feel goods' come from supporting your neighbours, more often than not the goods purchased are of great quality and feature a smidge of local culture.Al Eagleton from Rossland has added more than a smidge of local culture into his products. Al makes skis from wood harvested from the very same woods that those skis later slide between. The final product is a ski made from and for the local terrain but word has spread and his skis have even won the Skiers Choice Award from POWDER Magazine.
