THE PIT BOSS: THE FILM
Former Canadian NASCAR crew chief, Cole Pearn, was at the height of a highly successful career as one of the racing industry’s top drivers. Before the 2020 season though, he suddenly stepped back from his role to pursue a very different venture.
How and why does a stock-car racing driver end up in the Rockies chopping wood and cleaning outhouses? Turning away from the asphalt to hit the mountains, Pearn and his family moved to Canada and took over Golden Alpine Holidays — a backcountry skiing and hiking vacation company operating out of Golden, BC.
It was a surprising move, and drastic lifestyle change. You could be sure there’s a good story behind the story. Luckily, The Blank Collective crew spent some time up at Golden Alpine Holidays last winter filming for Tales of Cascadia, and they thought the same. While on a 2-week hut-to-hut traverse, they got to know the man behind the mission.
